VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The North Dakota High School Activities Association’s Board of Directors met August 15 in Valley City.
The agenda included a financial report of NDHSAA spring sports and fine arts events from the 2016-17 school year.
Six of the seven NDHSAA spring state tournaments experienced admissions records and the events generated $86,331.41 – up $12,568.52 from the spring of the 2015-16 school year. The NDHSAA is a non-profit organization and once operating costs are covered the remaining money is distributed to member schools through a team payment plan.
Other highlights from the meeting:
Board approved moving 2017 NDHSAA Class A West Region volleyball tournament to Mandan High School from Williston High School. Dates remain the same from previous approved agenda items.
Board approved moving the 2018 NDHSAA West Region girls tennis tournament to Minot from Bismarck. Dates remain the same from previous approved agenda items.
Board approved changing the date of the NDHSAA’s General Assembly to October 20, 2017 in Bismarck.
Board approved changing date of the Winter/Spring Sports Athletic Review to June 6, 2018 in Valley City.
