CLASS A GIRLS REGION GOLF RECAP

VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The 2020 NDHSAA Class A Girls Golf Region Tournaments were held today (Monday, September 28). The 2020 NDHSAA Class A Girls Golf East Region Tournament was held at the Grand Forks Country Club and the 2020 NDHSAA Class A Girls Golf West Region Tournament was hosted at Minot Souris Valley Golf Course.

East Region medalist honors went to Fargo Davies junior Ava Olson who shot a 81 – one stroke better than runner up golfers Clara Hanson of Grand Forks Central and Greta McArthur of Fargo Shanley.

Team honors in the East Region went to Fargo Shanley. The Deacons posted a team total of 347 – three strokes better than Fargo Davies (350).

Williston junior Carrie Carmichael took home West Region medalist honors shooting a 73. Carmichael won the tournament by five strokes. Bismarck century senior Riley Crothers shot a 78 for individual runner up honors.

Bismarck Century won the West Region team championship shooting a total of 332 – 25 strokes better than runner up Mandan (357).

The 2020 NDHSAA Class A Girls Golf State Tournament is scheduled for October 5-6 at Minot’s Souris Valley Golf Course.
