Bowman County five-peats as NDHSAA Class B Boys Cross Country team champs, Jonah Njos wins individual title

JAMESTOWN, N.D. – Bowman County scored its fifth consecutive NDHSAA Class B boys cross country team state championship and the Bulldogs’ pacesetter junior standout Jonah Njos repeated as individual medalist on Friday, October 25 at Jamestown’s Parkhurst Campground/Pipestem Reservoir.

The Bulldogs scored a 26 and had a total of six runners earn a Top 20 All-State finish in the race. Leading the way was Jonah Njos, who finished with a time of 15:39.0. Joining Njos for All-State honors were Gabe Sarsland (3rd), Warner Bowman (5th), Taylor Wanner (6th), Noah Njos (11th) and Thomas Bowman (13th). Jonah Njos also won individual state medalist honors in 2023.

The team state championship is Bowman County’s 20th in program history.
