NDHSAA and Forum Communications Company reach five-year agreement on NDHSAA’s Tier II Television Contract

VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The North Dakota High School Activities Association Board of Directors has approved a contract with Forum Communications Company for television broadcast rights of NDHSAA’s Tier II events.

Contract approval was finalized during an NDHSAA Board of Directors meeting held June 11 in Valley City.

The five-year agreement covers NDHSAA’s Tier II television broadcasts through the 2028-29 school year. Forum Communications Company recently completed its 11th year of producing television and live video web streams of the NDHSAA’s Tier I State Tournaments – a partnership that began during the 2013-14 school year.

NDHSAA Tier II postseason events include all NDHSAA-sponsored region and state tournaments not included in the NDHSAA’s Tier I State Tournaments (Dakota Bowl Football State Championships, Boys & Girls State Hockey, Division A & B Girls Basketball State Tournaments, Division A & B Boys Basketball State Tournaments, and the Division AA Boys and Girls Basketball Tournaments), which are also being televised & live video web streamed by Forum Communications Company through the 2028-29 school year.

As the NDHSAA’s Tier II media rights holder, Forum Communications Company will have first declaration rights to televise and live video web stream NDHSAA Postseason Tournaments included in Tier II.

Postseason contests and tournaments included in the NDHSAA’s Tier II television contract are highly anticipated by fans across the state of North Dakota and NDHSAA Executive Director Matt Fetsch is enthusiastic about enhancing an already strong partnership with Forum Communications Company.
