Class A Information

The State Class "A" Baseball Tournament will be held at Mandan's Memorial Ballpark, May 29 - 31, with Lorell Jungling lorell.jungling@sendit.nodak.edu as manager. If inclement weather prevails, the tournament manager shall postpone the tournament as necessary.
Tournament games will begin daily at 11:30 with the 3rd game beginning at 4:30

The higher seeded team will be the home team and have choice of dugout. If like seeds play, there shall be a coin-flip to determine the home team. The "home team" or nearest team to the tournament site will play the last game of the state tournament's first round. If there are multiple teams from the tournament site, the highest seed will be the "home team". The pairings will remain the same, but game times will be adjusted.

Between games each team will be allowed a 10-minute warm-up period on the playing field, but no batting practice will be allowed on the main diamonds between games.
All games including the consolation games are to be seven innings in length, except as governed by the note in connection with rule 4-2-2 of the current National Federation Baseball Rules. This rule provides in all seven-inning games, the game shall be called after the completion of 4 1/2 innings if the team behind by 10 runs has batted.
Pitching regulations are as follows: An individual may pitch a maximum of 14 innings in any seven-day period. A player may pitch only 12 innings or make only three appearances as a pitcher in a one-day or a two or three consecutive day tournament. Each pitcher will have a full complement of innings for the state tournament providing there is a minimum of four days rest prior to the state tournament.
Team trophies will be awarded for places 1 - 7 and 16 individual awards per team. Extra awards may be purchased through the NDHSAA office.

Class B Information

The Class B State Baseball Tournament will be held at Jamestown's Jack Brown Stadium, May 29 - 31, with Jim Roaldson as manager. If inclement weather prevails, the tournament manager shall postpone the tournament as necessary.
Tournament games will begin daily at 11:30 with the 3rd game beginning at 4:30.

*Consolation games will be played Friday and Saturday beginning at 11:30 and immediately following the first game. Championship round games will be played at 4:30 p.m. and immediately following the first game on Friday and Saturday.
