FARGO – Make it a three-peat for the Oak Grove girls golf team.
The Grovers won their third consecutive NDHSAA Class B Girls Golf team state championship shooting a two-day team total of 656 on Tuesday, October 1 at the Fargo Country Club.
Oak Grove won the tournament by 58 strokes.
In the individual race, Des Lacs-Burlington sophomore Laila Christianson took home medalist honors shooting 13-over 157 for the tournament. Christianson, who finished tied for fourth as a freshman a year ago, edged runner up Oak Grove senior Josie Brantner by five strokes. She is the first Des Lacs-Burlington player to win individual state medalist honors in program history.
Christianson held a three-shot lead entering Tuesday’s final round.
Oak Grove had all six of its golfers earn All-State honors by finishing in the Top 10.
