MINOT, N.D. – Make it back-to-back Class A baseball state championships for Bismarck Century.

The Patriots defeated Minot 7-2 in the championship game of the 2019 North Dakota High School Activities Association State Tournament on Saturday, June 1 at Corbett Field.

Since 2000, when the NDHSAA began sponsoring Class A baseball state championships, no team had ever repeated as champions until the Patriots pulled off the feat on Saturday.

Minot got on the scoreboard first getting an RBI triple from Alex Schimke in the first inning.

Century capitalized on a Minot error scoring two runs in the second inning to take a lead they would never give up.

The Patriots broke the game open in the fifth inning plating five runs.
