Bismarck Century wins Class A Volleyball State Title

FARGO – After not making it to the NDHSAA Class A volleyball state championship match for the first time in 12 seasons a year ago, Bismarck Century was out to prove it could play its way back to the final in 2024.
The Patriots did just that and collected another state championship to boot.
Bismarck Century defeated two-time defending Class A state champions West Fargo Sheyenne 3-1 (25-21, 18-25, 25-15, 25-22) in the state championship match on Saturday, November 23 at the FARGODOME.
Leading the way for the Patriots were Sylvia Taylor and Alexis Heinle who each posted 10 kills. Century also put together a strong block against the Mustangs on Saturday as Addison Klemin led the way with four of the team’s 14 blocks in the match.
Alexa Killoran led West Fargo Sheyenne with 10 kills.
The state championship is Century’s 10th in program history (1984, 2008, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2024).
Century finished the season with a 36-4 overall record. West Fargo Sheyenne ended the 2024 season with a 34-4 record.
