Minot wins team title at 2019 NDHSAA boys swimming and diving state meet

BISMARCK – Minot’s boys swimming and diving team repeated as NDHSAA state champions on Saturday, March 2 during the state meet held at the Bismarck State College Aquatics Center.

The Magicians scored 438 points at the meet. Bismarck Century finished second with 327 points. Minot has won 27 team state titles in program history.

Below are the state champions in each event at the state meet.

2019 NDHSAA Boys Swimming & Diving State Champions:

200 Yard Medley Relay
Bismarck Century (Charles Koebele, Jayden Porter, Riley Kaul, Will Dohrmann), 1:36.52. (new state record)

200 Yard Freestyle:
Chris Birnbaum, Bismarck Century, 1:42.38 (new state record)

200 Yard Individual Medley:
Jayden Porter, Bismarck Century, 1:56.70

50 Yard Freestyle:
Eric Anderson, Wahpeton, 21.22

Johnny Mindt, Mandan, 526.55 points (new state record)

100 Yard Butterfly:
Rhys Enget, Williston, 53.09

100 Yard Freestyle:
Eric Anderson, Wahpeton, 46.29

500 Yard Freestyle:
Chris Birnbaum, Bismarck Century 4:48.76

200 Yard Freestyle Relay:
Fargo North (Peyton Fisher, Eric Meier, Caden Boutwell, Payton Gabel), 1:28.73

100 Yard Backstroke:
Charles Koebele, Bismarck Century, 53.06

100 Breaststroke:
Jayden Porter, Bismarck Century, 55.68 (new state record)

400 Yard Freestyle Relay:
Bismarck Century (Chris Birnbaum, Charles Koebele, Ryan Johnson, Jayden Porter), 3:14.11
