Grand Forks Red River's Jocelyn Schiller named NDAPSSA's Miss Basketball

NDAPSSA NEWS RELEASE - FRIDAY, MARCH 22

BISMARCK – Grand Forks Red River senior girls basketball standout Jocelyn Schiller was named North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association Miss Basketball on Friday, March 22.

The North Dakota Miss Basketball Award is presented and voted on by members of the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. The honor is given to the top senior player in the state.

Schiller averaged 26.5 points and 6.0 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 5.5 steals per game in her final season with the Roughriders. She is the all-time leading scorer in Grand Forks Red River program history and is the first player from Red River to be honored as a NDAPSSA Miss Basketball Award winner. Schiller helped the Roughriders to NDHSAA Class A Girls State championship in 2023.

Schiller is signed to play NCAA Division I women’s basketball at the University of North Dakota.

Schiller was one of six finalists for the 2024 ND Miss Basketball Award. She was joined by Mataeya Mathern (Edgeley/Kulm/Monepelier), Jessica Mogen (Watford City), Ashton Safranski (Fargo Davies), Rylee Satrom (May-Port CG), Maya Vibeto (Our Redeemer's)
