Rugby wins NDHSAA Class B Cross Country Girls Team Title

COOPERSTOWN, N.D. – Make it back-to-back NDHSAA Class B girls cross country team state championships for the Rugby Panthers.

The Panthers clinched the repeat scoring 80 points at Cooperstown Country Club during the 2020 NDHSAA State Meet. Rugby had its five scoring runners all finish in the top 25 and of that group three earned all-state honors – Brooklyn Bartsch (3rd, 19:28.3), Hannah Senechal (13th, 20:20.0) and Quinn Neppl (19th, 20:29.5) – as finishing in the top 20.

In the individual race, Kindred freshman Peyton Gette finished with a time of 19:08.7 to win medalist honors. Gette is the first Kindred girls runner to ever win an individual state championship in program history.
