FARGO – Fargo Davies senior guard Ty Satter had a standout night on the basketball court Tuesday when the Eagles hosted Grand Forks Central in an Eastern Dakota Conference game.
Satter, a North Dakota State University signee for football, connected for 12 3-pointers in Davies’ 84-45 victory over the Knights. The 12 3-pointers made in one game ties the unofficial overall state record held by Robins Uses Arrow of Solen High School. According to the running list of most 3-pointers made in one game maintained by the North Dakota Hoopster Magazine no Class A player had made more than 11 (Patrick Strom of Fargo Shanley and Ben Schmidt of Bismarck St. Mary’s) in one game.
Satter finished with 38 points on Tuesday. He was 12 of 17 from 3-point range and was 2-for-2 on free throws. Seven of the 12 3s came in the first half.
Davies’ previous school record for 3-pointers in one game was seven (held by Tanner Kretchman and Collin Larson).
Davies is ranked No. 2 in the latest NDAPSSA Class A Boys Basketball Media Poll. The Eagles are 14-1 overall and 13-1 in the EDC.
