VALLEY CITY, N.D. – Former North Dakota prep golf standout Tom Hoge is preparing to play at the Masters for the first time in his professional career.

Hoge, a 2007 Fargo South graduate, will tee off at 11:35 a.m. CDT on Thursday, April 7 at Augusta International Golf Course. Fellow golfers in Hoge’s Day 1 group are Bubba Watson (2012 and 2014 Masters Champion) and Keita Nakajima of Japan.

Hoge sports a 70.1 scoring average entering the Masters and is 38th on the current Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR). He is also in fifth place in the PGA’s FEDEXCUP season standings with one victory and three total top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour this season.

Thus far in 2021-22, Hoge has earned $3,418,201 with the season highlight coming in early February when he won the 2022 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am championship.

Hoge will become the first North Dakotan to play in the famed Masters tournament since Oxbow amateur Mike Podolak played in 1983.
