NDHSAA Board Synopsis - (April 26, 2022)

VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The North Dakota High School Activities Association Board of Directors met in person in Valley City on Thursday, April 26.

The following were agenda items were discussed or acted on:

• The Board’s Tournament Committee provided a report on proposed 2023 Region Tournament Sites for winter sports. The report was approved by the full Board. A list of approved Tournament sites for the 2022-23 school year can be found at https://ndhsaa.com/calendar/tournament-sites/current. Select the “2022-23” Tab at the bottom of the NDHSAA Tournament Sites Page. 

• The Board also approved site changes for the 2022 Class B Girls Golf State Tournament (now at Minot’s Souris Valley Golf Course), the 2022 Boys Soccer State Tournament (now at West Fargo High School) and the 2023 Class A Boys Golf State Tournament (now at Dickinson’s Heart River Golf Course). 

• The Board approved dates for the 2028-29 Academic Year on the NDHSAA 7-Year Activities Calendar. https://ndhsaa.com/calendar/approved 

• The Board approved a request from NDHSAA Members schools in District 7 and District 8 (Region 4) to transition to a “Super Region” format for boys and girls basketball starting in the 2022-23 school year.

The next scheduled Board meeting is June 7 in Valley City.
