NDHSAA Board Synopsis – (February 8, 2023)

VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The North Dakota High School Activities Association Board of Directors met in person in Valley City on Wednesday, February 8.

The following were agenda items were discussed or acted on.

• The Board of Directors voted to approve a Three Division Basketball Plan in a 10-0 vote and also approved a subsequent motion regarding the implementation of the Three Division Basketball Plan for the 2023-24 season/school year in a 8-2 vote. 

• The Board’s Executive Board Committee submitted a report to the Board that included changes to the NDHSAA’s Minimal Behavior Expectations for Regular and Postseason Competitions. The Board approved the amended language to the NDHSAA Minimal Behavior Expectations for immediate implementation. The Board of Directors also approved the creation of a Sportsmanship and Citizenship Committee to help promote positive behaviors at NDHSAA events and competitions.   

The next scheduled Board meeting is April 4, 2023 in Valley City.
