LINCOLN, Neb. – No doubt the prospect of University of Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark breaking the NCAA Division I women’s basketball career scoring record drew the University of Nebraska’s first ever sell out crowd for a women’s basketball game at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Sunday, February 11.

Clark may have drawn the sell out house that was nationally televised, but the Huskers – with the help of their freshman guard Logan Nissley – stole the show.

Nissley, a 2023 Bismarck Century graduate, scored 15 points off the bench to help Nebraska defeat No. 2-ranked Iowa 82-79.

Nissley, who won the NDAPSSA Miss Basketball Award a year ago, made three 3-pointers in the game and also had seven rebounds.

Iowa’s Clark came up short in her bid to break the NCAA Division I women’s basketball career scoring record on Sunday. Clark now has 3,520 career points and needs eight more to pass Kelsey Plum's record of 3,527 for Washington from 2013-17.

Clark, who finished with 31 points, was held scoreless in the fourth quarter and missed her final six shots of the game.

Nissley was a three-time NDAPSSA All-State honoree for the Bismarck Century Patriots and helped Century to a NDHSAA Class A girls basketball state championship in 2021 as a sophomore.
