NDHSAA Board Meeting Synopsis - (April 8)

VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The North Dakota High School Activities Association Board of Directors met in person in Valley City on Tuesday, April 8.

The following were agenda items were discussed or acted on:

  • The Board approved a report from the Executive Board Committee that included a recommendation for the Board to authorize the Constitution & By-Laws Committee to begin drafting an Eligibility Hardship Appeal Process involving an independent committee which would be finalized at the Board’s June 11th meeting for implementation starting July 1, 2025. 

  • The Board approved a report from the Tournament Committee that included the approval of 2026 winter region tournament sites for boys hockey & boys and girls wrestling. 2026 winter region tournament sites for boys and girls basketball will be approved at a later date.   • The Board approved a site change for the 2025 NDHSAA Class B, South Central Region Track and Field meet from Mandan to Hazen. The Board also approved Fine Arts State Contest sites for the 2027-28 and 2028-29 school years. 

  • The Board approved 7-year Activity Calendar start dates for the 2031-32 School Year. https://ndhsaa.com/calendar/approved 

  • The Board approved a Finance and Personnel Committee that included a retirement announcement for NDHSAA Business Manager Sharon Prosby, who will retire June 30, 2025.

  • The Board approved meeting dates for the 2025-26 school year.

  • The Board authorized a Member School Survey, which will be finalized in the near future and sent to member schools in early May.

The next scheduled Board meeting is June 11 in Valley City.
