Soccer - Heat & Humidity Directive

Soccer - NDHSAA Heat & Humidity Directive

Due to the extremely high temperatures and humidity forecasted throughout the state and out of respect for the safety of the competitors, coaches and game officials, officials are directed to suspend play for a hydration break a minimum of once during each half of each match played during the week of August 26-31.

The breaks should be taken as close to the halfway point of each half using the most natural break in play as possible.  Additional stoppages for hydration breaks may be granted at the discretion of the officials.

The above procedure will be evaluated weekly until cooler weather conditions prevail.
